Is Hallandale nice? I am in Jax and new there form Canada. I have been to Miami numerous times and it's ok. I am thinking of applying to some jobs down there.
Hallandale is ghetto and low class and Hallandale Beach is OK but it is one of the cheaper and less desirable areas in Broward county that is on the beach.
Ft. Lauderdale has a more vibrant nightlife and restaurants than Hallandale and gets better as you get closer to the beach. Another good area is Lauderdale by the Sea. An area that I would avoid is Dania Beach. It is full of sleazy motels, prostitutes, drug dealers, drug users, and weird and crazy people. Is living on or close to the beach a must or priority, because if it is not Broward County has a lot of nice and newer areas that are inland.

well Im not sure yet. I had to go to broward health once and it wasn't in the nicest area. what are the nicer areas?
Western part of Miramar and Pembroke Pines, Weston, most of Davie, Southwest Ranches, Cooper City, Plantation, Sunrise Coral Springs, and Parkland are all good in general with small bad areas here and there. Places to mostly avoid with few good areas are Hollywierd, Hallandale, Eastern part of Miramar and Pembroke Pines, Pembroke Park, Dania, Pompano Beach.
