Check out the Miami Sports and Social Club...lots of great people of all ages. They get together for tons of things...some sports-related, some not. My husband and I initially went for the co-ed softball leagues...we ended up making some really good friends. Now that we're no longer in Miami, we miss that whole social thing...we're doing the same thing here in Texas, and so far, so good!
Also, I don't know how spiritual you are, but check out the Miami Vineyard church. It's a non-denominational Christian church that's really welcoming...get out there and live your life!!
