So you would only oppose to it because it is boring? I think the beaches are boring too, but I know for a fact that they bring tourism and money to the area.

Coral Gables and Key Biscayne would never allow a casino in their areas.

The Strip is unique to Vegas and the 'cheese' is what makes Vegas, Vegas. I don't think anyone would be bringing the Eiffel Tower to Miami Ave.

People don't visit many cities to gamble, but if they offered it, how many more people would visit? It's not as though you're removing any attractions (I don't think many people take ghetto reality tours, although I've heard it is offered in LA)

Having alternatives to gambling would be one of the signatures of Miami. Don't gamble? Plenty of other things to do.

And let's face a BEACH is a set in stone geographic feature....a casino is a man-made feature in case you didn't notice.

Look at most casinos in the U.S.....totally crappy areas for the most part. Ever hear of Altantic City....not the nicest beach resort around.

HUh, wut?
But, he said a totally different thing
Man made or not, that's was not the point of his post. Actually, he didn't even talked about any city's physical appearance.

And to answer your argument, does it make any difference if a place is man made or not? I mean, Paris is a man-made idea altogether , however it still attracts tourism just as any other natural wonder. Thus, the legitimacy of its nature is irrelevant.

Now, Atlantic city is not Miami Beach, since it lacks the sun, the sand, the people and the tropical feel Miami has to offer. And to be honest, those crappy areas might look good to some and horrible to others.

What is, the Strip?

I call that genius. They've literally created a major destination out of an area that would otherwise be nothing but sand and heat.

Please specify which casinos in the US for your claim on "totally crappy areas"

AC used to be the top grossing gaming spot in the country, and even today as it's faltering it still is #2.

I would still pick a day in AC over places in FL like the Panhandle. Their beach might not be as nice but there's at least something else to do besides the beach.
