Stay on topic.
Md ranks 20th on the list of states taxes paid

https://money.cnn.com/pf/features/li...xes/total.html

MD is number 7 highest in the Cost of Living

https://worldpopulationreview.com/st...index-by-state

THIS is why people are moving OUT!

Evidently, West Virginia is now the most-moved-from state:

A reckoning is coming, though; Delaware's property tax is based on assessments that haven't been updated since 1983, 1987, and (for Sussex County) 1974. New assessments are in the works; hard to say what the end result will be, but I imagine here will be some higher property tax bills.

I have a friend who has a house in Delaware and he figures his property tax on it will quadruple with the new assessment. That is, however, still less than what he pays in Maryland on either of his houses.

"After her company told employees in 2017 to start working remotely, customer service representative"

I saw this start DECADES ago and has grown tremendously over the years

The virus has caused an even grater growth spurt.

Companies are finding employees who do 99% of the job via a computer, can work from ANYWHERE.

It lessens the need for large commercial office space which saves LOTS of money.

IMO, we will see a more and more companies allowing it and the workforce will NOT need to be going into big cities which is where they get all their income from in taxes from the office workers to the support business's around them, like restaurants, etc.

Maryland is a place to work and to work over other people in the process. A state of thieves in which its only attraction is that there is some juicy capital to obtain in the area.
