Maybe you feel that way because some "backwards redneck" didn't like your smart adz attitude, and called you on it.

If there is a slight rise in crime at Ocean City, during the summer, you will see that the Criminals responsible are almost always from some other place , with attitudes like yours.
Ocean City has a higher amount of crime in the summer (less homicides) than Salisbury does all year (based on 2012 stats). If a person wants to see higher amounts of crime check out Chester PA and Harrisburg PA.

Jahodor, I'm not going to pick on you for saying 'less' rather than 'fewer', but that OC crime statistic has a MASSIVE skew. 7000 people live here all year, yet for 4-5 months of the year we are lucky enough to have anywhere from 150,000 and 350,000 people in town at any given time. Yes those are very real numbers too. And we inherit the 'crime' stats from all those visitors. I put crime in quotes because most of the crime around here are fights (assault), trespassing (classified by OCPD as burglaries, technically), and alcohol/drug-related things. I don't consider any of these things 'crime' in the traditional, more urban sense.

Thanks for not picking on me, fewer would have been the proper way of putting it. I believe the point was validating another post (Boris) mentioning the majority of issues that come from the summer crown not the locals who make Ocean City their home. I should have copied the quote, it wasn't meant as a swipe against OC in general.
