None of which has anything to do with the discussion about phase 3 and 4.

Read my lips: LIABILITY. Protestors don't care, malls most certainly do. 1st person to get COVID while trying on those new Nike's is guaranteed to sue long and hard. That times a few dozen million. Should be quite the spectacle. Rushing back has serious consequences. I don't expect the LICD forum to think that deeply, though, just gimme a mani pedi and don't tread on my lawn.
Thats why the GOP is trying to make any state bailout contingent on COVID related liability protections.

Protesters (in NY) were mostly wearing masks and walking outdoors where air is constantly circulating. Also, per studies just released- there were no spikes from protests:

Well that settles it dosent it. a study says so. So that means there shouldn't be a spike in any other sort of mass gathering either. Completely ridiculous

“Researchers determined that protests may have been offset by an increase in social distancing among those who decided not to march.

Using cellphone data, the study determined that more people opted to stay home “perhaps due to fear of violence from police clashes or general unrest.”

Exactly. Who wants to be out when the looting, rioting and arson is going on?

This azzhat , Cuomo, on CNN tonight blasting places like Florida for covid and how NY "did it right."

Covid deaths:
NY - 30K+
Florida - 3K+

Only the national left wing loony media would let this murderer get away with this!

Just wait until all the eviction deferrals, etc. are canceled. People will owe back rent and/or face eviction.

https://ny.curbed.com/2020/6/1/21273...ef-coronavirus

“New York City is home to 5.4 million renters in more than 2 million apartments, roughly a quarter of whom didn’t pay rent in May, according to landlord trade group Community Housing Improvement Program.”

Cuomo’s strategy? If NY is still in a mess in August, deal with it then....

Are you kidding me? NY had 130K infections on April 1st while FL had only 7-8K positive cases on 4/1, the death rate rises as infection rate increases. NYC is 3x more densely populated than FL and all 3 major international airports deposited all those Europeans straight into the NY metro arra which is why the epicenter was NYC first. You want to compre death rates now? Give it time, FL already doubled their positive cases in a span of 2 weeks, and if residents dont start modifying their behaviors, deaths will inevitably rise..

/\ No doubt the number of deaths in Florida (and NY) will rise. As long as the Florida Governor learned from Cuomo’s ‘mistake’ (sending Covid—19 residents into nursing homes), overall deaths in Florida will remain far below New York. At the risk of stating the obvious (and disappointing the ghoulish media), the number of infections is not directly associated with the number of deaths.

Actually he’s not that stupid. He knows no matter how poor or tragic ( nursing homes) a decision he makes he will never be criticized by the local media or the local Dem Party. Therefore come 2022 he’ll win in a landslide and spend less than 50 cents on campaigning. NY loves the piece of shi+.
