The point wasn't to compare contagion but the fact that everyone places economic health and personal liberty over lives, it's just a matter of where you draw the line. And wherever you draw the line doesn't mean you want anyone to die.
It is so contagious we don’t know where the deaths or sickness levels would be had everyone just been business as usual ...perhaps it would be in the millions left unchecked

People are stupid? Like when they claim "this virus is growing" even though every number says it is not
growing? People should be more careful trying to insult those who disagree with them. It probably is good idea not to say stupid things when calling others stupid...but of course one personal anecdote is worth all the facts in the world I guess.

It's not growing? Of course it is growing. A flat curve means the number of new cases each day has levelled off or slowed down. There are still new cases each day. The number that have been infected continues to grow. Not sure if this was a serious post...I assumed it was.

You can still go for a walk, get food, etc. It's not even a real lock down. Imagine living in Greece or France right after WW2. Imagine living in any third world country right now. You can still have wine delivered curbside to your car...how bad can it be. Patience.

Srsly. The meme that went around when this all started "your grandparents were asked to go to war. You're being asked to sit on the couch and watch tv"...I fear if a true catastrophe were to ever happen. Actually I don't -that would really cull the herd.

how come nobody is talking about the antibodies test showing everyones already been infected, and the death rate is really 0.5. If we all have masks now, whats the big deal? They only sent everyone $1200 and this was in march when they said it would last only 2 weeks. Some people wont get those checks until sept. either open the country or pay for everyones rent. also, after june you can get evicted and they arent updating the executive order

Raise your hand if you've had an antibody test.

The hospital system is now bankrupt, many hospitals across the country are closing down, the nurses and doctors who help us are now unemployed, Being the models were not fully accurate, I think that is what may caused them to close.

The highest percentage of people showing antibodies was 25 percent in the Bronx. That is a far cry from "everybody" and is not high enough to give herd immunity which needs to be 70 percent infected or higher.

Who is this "they" of whom you speak? Certainly no one with any knowledge of the situation nor in a position to administer such a thing.

"They" sounds like Trump early in the pandemic. I pity anyone who believes and counts on him for info. You don't just open up because the numbers are a bit more favorable. It's like if you have a life threatening infection, then start to feel better and stop taking antibiotics. The illness will come roaring back because you failed to wipe it out.

This thing may never leave us and we may have to live with it. https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/03/healt...ntl/index.html
