My husband remembers the mall very well, even before the bridge was closed over. They would walk on the outside of the railing. I met Carl in 1979, but her grew up there. Newberry's was my favorite, they had a sterling silver shop right in front. He used to get his hair cut at the barber shop called the Twins. I can almost remember the deli, and the animated figures, didn't they sell hot dogs, besides the delicious sandwiches? Oh--the good ol' days.
