What about Cheryl Pierson? She hired the kid in her homeroom to murder her father or stepfather? or The Johnny Pius case where he witnessed some teenagers stealing a dirt bike and they killed him by stuffing rocks down his throat? Or when the nurse from St. James was murdered by a bunch of kids that entered her house stole I think her vcr and then murdered her to see what it was like to see someone die? That nurse was my Mom's best friend.

Dont forget Colin Ferguson, the man who murdered 6 and injured 19 on the Long Island Rail Road back in 1993.

How about the fireman that was killed on the track of Centereach High School while he was jogging, in 1996. Then the worker that was killed at the Medford Stop and Shop while working the overnight shift, she was found in the bathroom and they found that a co worker did it.

I really wouldn't consider them high profile or famous crimes.

This thread isn't about everybody on Long Island who has been murdered. It's about "Famous LI Crimes".

Excellent rebuttal. Too bad you couldn't even recall their names.

Google those murders and see how many sites come back that are not Long Island related sites. Cases like Tankleff and Rifkin have received national attention, which in my opinion, constitutes as a "Famous LI Crime".

I remember the Jennfer Manners case

I went to HS with Chris Loliscio

To this day I doubt this conviction....one of many reasons I dont support the death penalty.

Did he have sex with her ..yes

Was she underage..yes

Did he murder her??? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

No smoking gun.

SCPD at its finest ...going for the easy collar.
I hope to God they were right becuase two lives were taken here.

I think if this case were tried today Chris would be a free man.
