Seems like half of the cars I saw there last year were from Kentucky.

Good short days trip from Kentucky to Sevierville. Good chance the other direction will be North Carolina or Georgia....

Back when we went up to the mountains when I was a kid, my dad would always ask, “Does anyone from Ohio stay home?”

It's true! They are constantly traversing through Knoxville, lots of them in Florida, too. Then again, if I lived in Ohio I'd be gone all the time, as well!

Hey hey hey now....I resemble that remark!!!

I see alot of Kentucky plates, as well as Ohio, Virginia, Michigan and Indiana.

I do know for a fact that when most people come here to visit or vacation, they lose all intelligence in the drivability department.

When we went back to Ohio last weekend, to take our son back to college, I told my hubby to drive like an out-of-towner. He said "so, does that mean cut across three lanes of traffic while looking the opposite direction and then laying on my horn and flipping someone off?".

It's funny, I don't think I've been honked at or told I was "number one" by anyone with Tennessee plates since I've moved here. And I only honked my horn once, that was to tell an old man the light was green. I just tapped on it.

If people would just learn to slow things down and take their time, they'd have alot more fun while they were visiting. LOL!

If people would learn that in general it'd be a lot better. This pseudo hurry everyone likes to pretend they're in now is annoying and potentially dangerous.

Welcome to city-data! When you quote home prices, you need to actually give addresses (or areas) to find the answers you are looking for. There may be a very good reason for the prices, but without enough details, there is not enough to formulate an answer. Knoxville covers quite a bit of area...

Are you planning to look around before just moving to Sevierville? Is that is where a job is?

Hilarious! Change out of towner to Chicago resident though. Hoping to land a printing job in Knoxville area and move somewhere people drive with some level of intelligence.
