I'd check out Possum-Trot and Chiggerville. Both would fit your needs with a real fine bacon college.

You probably have about 200+ choices. Just look up "Class 5 cities" in Kentucky then go to their respective website and look for relocation material. For example: http://www.rockcastlecountyky.com/MAG/MAG.pdf
Not sure how much luck you will have with a baking college, though. Here in KY we just dip critters in a vat of lard and fry them up. No real need fer educatin' on the subject other than how to wrassle fresh roadkillfrom a vulture

Please tell me this thread is a joke.

"Redneck" and "Kentucky" are as synonymous as "far left" and "San Francisco."

I grew up in redneck Kentucky towns.

To seriously answer your question, to keep it under 1,000, the only town I can seriously think of is Pippa Passes, home of Alice Lloyd College. But even many parts of Louisville, Lexington and northern KY feel pretty small town, laid back and "'necky," so you can definitely find a place.

If you're wanting to go to school for baking, you should look for small towns somewhere in the Louisville area. Yeah, I imagine there are some out there. But for the baking part, check out Sullivan University (Programs - Culinary Arts - Sullivan University - Louisville KY, Lexington KY, Fort Knox KY, Online ). A friend of my son went there and they placed him in a job making good bucks! He can fix some awesome dishes!
