Stay away from Idaho for many reasons. If you want some thing other then desert as the whole of south Idaho is. Go with Colorado. if you love your family do not believe that Idaho is a family friendly state that is some thing they only do in print and not real life ( governmentally speaking here ) I know I got to live it first hand and believe me you never want to go threw what the state put me threw and my kids never. Fact is I say this to any one thinking of moving to Idaho don't!!!! I say this from personal experiences in Idaho the state I used to call home and was forced to leave by the ex and what the state allowed her to do to me and the kids. So believe me and my kids do not move there if you enjoy family!!

Ended back in calif. But not for long looking at moiling to Missouri. I may sound bitter about Idaho and well I am. It was a nice place tells the unwarned things happened when I became disabled and found out how they work. It really is an old boy club state. I though what happened was just a single thing then doing so looking and talking found out it is not . I know I would not move back even thou I loved the climate and land just not how it is run. This is coming from a hard core Christian and out door lover (hunter and fishing person) and super conservative. So what I just said about my self is also what they try to preach they are but in real life are not. But they do not act like there liberal ether they just do not know how to act and do what is even in there own laws .just some thing I would like others to know before strange things happen to them after moving there .I have lived in a few states and Idaho for treatment was bay far the worse . Most when told the facts can not believe it tell they look in to it. Ones that have known me for 20 + years just shake there heads and ask why. Also ask why I would ever think about going back when I did that is. wrote many letters to politicians and most never responded and the ones that did was more or less sorry this happened but there is nothing I can do to help you even thou it is wrong and needs to be changed (shortened the words but gave the basics of there letters) sent out 40 letters and got 3 back nothing from the others so that alone should make one thing a non responsive government there.

All of which seem to be bike friendly, now I figure out which one of these I can tolerate the weather in......I am spoiled, I am from WI and I grew up bicycling on Rails to Trails, and on farm roads. I do like shade trees when it is too hot, and I do worry about desert terrain. Then again, I worry about grayness!!! UGH

I ride my bike to work everyday here in Caldwell.
Nothing beats a 15 min. bike ride to work.
