Which car do you think Hyundai started to become considered..
I would say the previous Sonata.. It was very good, but it never captured the Camry & Accord like how the new Sonata did..
Be considered what? Reputable? Reliable? A Contender?
If it's one of the above, I would have to say the most recent redesign of the Sonata and Elantra. They caught the eye and the pricing caught the customers.

That Sonata was a big leap for Hyundai, but I think they were progressing and receiving more attention and accolade even before it. They didn't so much make one giant leap, as they have continued positive progress IMO.
I agree with the the OP. The previous generation Sonata is what made Hyundai a contender vs Toyota/Honda. That specific model came thorough with Honda Accord "styling" and ran with it.
I also think the last gen Sonata (pictured in first post) really got the ball rolling but improvements have been made incrementally well before that. I think the more drastic change has been with sister company KIA which has had great designs after acquiring one of Audis top designers.
I think it was the Genesis when it came out ~2008. Before that, a lot of people simply wrote off Hyundai as a bunch of underengineered rubbish (which wasn't helped by a few anecdotal stories of older Hyundai cars being truly terrible). But I think it's much more reputable by now.
The OP cannot speak English, Wtf is he trying to say lol.
