That video might or might not be legit (they might have ether-assist on that truck), but the propellant used in virtually all aerosols is highly flammable. Aquanet Superhold Hair Spray would probably have blown the heads off that diesel engine.

Ether, Heptane, and a propellant (often CO2) are the ingredients in virtually all starter fluids. No alcohol.
You can tell they are loaded with ether, just by the smell.
WD40 used to be able to be used as starting fluid, but then the formula was changed.
