MSG is an alternative to salt - so that would be odd if it tastes too salty to you.

MSG has roughly 1/3 the sodium of table salt. It is actually meant to be an alternative for people trying to reduce salt and lower hypertension.

It's not the MSG. I've read that they brine their chicken. Perhaps it's that.
