Yeah, I’ve lived kinda in the Deep South, sorta, on the fringes. I know a bit of that. It’s bland.

As do I (lived there for years), yet I come to the opposite conclusion. Still, to each their own. You find it bland. I've never found it bland. Nor has anyone else I know who has. I've heard people say many things about CFA, but that isn't really something I hear. I doubt the millions of people chowing down on CFA think they are eating bland food.

The thing about Chik fil A is the service. The food is fine and wholesome, but the point is that the food and service is delivered by employees who care and are invested in your experience. They deliver your order in a fast and expedient way.

Contrast that with any other fast food place, for various reasons, and you can see the difference.

We drove by the S. Beretania location today and the drive-thru traffic was insane. Not only was traffic blocked up for a block and a half going down S. Beretania, but it was also blocked up for a good block on Pensacola waiting to turn right onto S. Beretania.

Yeah, that’s my tastebuds, having tasted other things. I’m not everybody, I just don’t get the chick fil a thing. It’s not cardboard, but it’s kind of McDonald’s level. Personally, I don’t get it, won’t get it, and won’t be going back. If you like it, I don’t understand, but I’m glad you’re getting more out of it than I do, and I mean that honestly - it’s a gift to appreciate things. Personally, if it’s a chain, I prefer Raisin’ Cane’s, and even KFC, neither of which were what I’d call awesome. I haven’t ever eaten Popeye’s, and we didn’t have a Zaxby’s. We had a lot of local joints which had good fried and other chicken down there, almost as many as had good tacos, so maybe my tastebuds are just ruined for a place like CFA - I don’t particularly like any of the chain chicken things, it’s just that CFA is in my least fav bucket.

With so much delicious and indigenous food in Oahu, why are people so happy about this crap?

It's awful, and the company is awful.

I think it's wonderful and that the company is wonderful. Plenty of others seem to agree as well judging by the lines and business the place does, similar to elsewhere in the states.

Then again, I tend to not attack other's food choices

The sandwiches are super small and overpriced. Nonetheless the one in our area is always busy.

Because CFA sells a very simple chicken sandwich full of MSG so people are addicted to the MSG flavored chicken sandwich. You can make one at home but naturally without MSG, it just taste plain.
