Weston is soooo beautiful, I was extremely impressed. It is so well-kept, so clean, it's such a break when you are coming from Brooklyn where I have to walk and think not to step in something yucky...
I'm absolutely in love with this town at this moment. It was so pleasant to be driving around without road-rage, without stress... Anywhere I look, there are ponds, lakes, trees, grass, parks...

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency and although it wasn't cheap, I was very satisfied with the servise and the food.

We checked out many developments, from St.Andrews to San Michelle, Ridges, California Courts, Savannah...
Since we are looking into rentals now, right now we are kind of split between St Andrews and San Michelle. Both have pros and cons.
St Andrews - smaller, quiter, a little bit out of the way community. The woman working with us was extremely friendly and sweet and genuine. St. Andrews have condos only, everything is on one floor, but no garage (however, tons of parking anyway) It had more of a "homey" feeling in my opinion, it was cozier, more private then San Michelle.
San Michelle - bigger, more "active" community. The rentals are townhouses only, the con is that it didn't seem as well kept (at least for an outsider) and wasn't as private, quite. They do have garages and the biggest pro - it's walking distance to Town Center (which by the way is lovely!!!) I have never seen "wine by the glass" type of place and I live in New York!!!
So right now we are split with our decision.

this town seemed to be catering for families with kids. There are so many things to do for children. Anywhere I looked, there were kids, kids, kids...I couldn't believe it.
The schools are the best schools in Florida only, but I am sure they are good enough.

Anyway - everything at the moment is telling me that to move will be the right choice.
And by the way - I didn't meet a single snobby person yet...although I've only been there for 3 days.

Hi Max's mama,
We are considering moving to Weston from NJ and would love to know if you made the move? If so, how do you like Florida? How are you liking the elementary schools? Are you happy you made the move or do you miss your previous home? Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Where is a good place to rent in or around weston. We do not know the area at all. I am asking for a friend. It seems as though the prices for rentals in Weston are expensive. Are there any other places close to weston or in weston
that you guys would recommend checking? Does this area have much to do for young children? Thank you

The Bonaventure section of Weston MAY be less expensive.

Weston is a city where families come to raise their kids because of its A+ schools, low criminality and tons of activities for the kids.

In regards to good places around Weston, you have West Davie, SW Ranches, West Pembroke Pines, Cooper City and some areas of Plantation and Sunrise.

Now, what's your budget?
