You will have plenty of options in that area, from apartments to single family homes. Again, probably not the first place I would pick if I were young and single, but you could rent something near your job until you become more acquainted the area and figure out where you want to live. I have a friend who lived on the beach in Fort Lauderdale and drove to the Pembroke Lakes Mall six days a week for work. She said it was a 30-45 minute commute each way, but it was worth it to her to live on the east side.

That can be a hike to make every day if you have to travel during rush hour. Depending on the route you take it's probably 25 miles each way. The traffic heading southwest isn't that bad once you get west of 95. You could even go straight down US 1 to 595 and avoid 95 all together.

It is worth considering that you may want to live near your work, and drive to entertainment and nightlife. Think about which one you will be doing more. The tradeoff in gas savings alone could pay for a good meal or two.

Broward isn't Miami.

Why don't you stick to answering questions about subjects you know something about; Bradenton, Florida and Long Island.

You continue to give advice to people when you have no idea what you are talking about.

I know you hate that you moved to Bradenton but that was your own fault for not doing any research.
Speaking of research, you may want to do some before criticizing others. Broward is considered part of the Miami metropolitan area.

Is the OP trolling for trouble? I don't see Broward as a bad place to live. In fact, I rather love it.

Can't say I've too much of a positive experience around here but OP might be a little extreme.

The traffic in Broward County isn't bad at all for a major metro area. Atlanta, NYC, and LA are much much worse. Miami is pretty bad too. Broward is only bad if you have to travel longer distances.
