For a casual family Christmas gathering of 7 adults...do you think it's odd to serve cold Honey Baked Ham (our usual) with hot side dishes?

Ham - cold
Green Beans with onions and ham
Broccoli Cheese Casserole
Cornbread
Baked Beans with bacon
Macaroni Salad - cold

In the past we've had potato salad, tossed green salad, deviled eggs and baked beans.
No one seems to want potatoes any more and the tossed green salad requires a few salad dressing choices.

So I want to change things up a bit but wondering about the cold ham with hot sides.
I do not want to heat the ham.
Any other ideas?

I will be cooking at home and driving to family home..

I don’t think it’s weird at all.

I was at a Boxing Day Celebration in London a few years ago and they served roast beef, roast pork, and roast lamb, all served cold. There is nothing wrong with that.

I usually heat the ham up when I'm serving warm sides but it's not essential that you do that. I think you're fine.

Whew! Thanks for the reassurance!

I'll go ahead with the plan and hopefully everyone will be okay with the changes.

I prefer room temperature. Sometimes when we get a Honeybaked, we’ll warm it up first and then set it out for an hour or two while preparing all the sides

Let those that want hot/heated ham heat up their slices up in the microwave ?

It'll be fine!

I usually do my "big meal" for Thanksgiving, and then on Christmas I order platters of cold cuts and sliced cheese, and have a few loaves of different kinds of bread, plus a number of condiments.

I just think, for us anyway, it's too much with everybody wanting to open gifts, the kids playing with their new toys, wrapping paper everywhere, and it seems it doesn't matter whether you serve the meal before or after the unwrapping of gifts, either nobody wants to eat to get to the gifts, or nobody wants to eat because they are playing with their new toys or what-have-you.

This year we did "Thanksmas" and I did the whole meal. We did the gifts as soon as everyone arrived, and then I just let everyone know the food was in the kitchen/dining room for whomever wants to eat. If the food was cold, they can microwave it, I'm not worried about it because nothing had dairy in it, and nobody needs a nag going around and telling people to eat. It went well.

Room temperature ham is great! Hot sides are a bonus, but I'd say no to baked beans. Too much sweet stuff.

I'd have mac and cheese instead of macaroni salad, but that's just personal preference.
