By the second day. The only thing I really like to re-heat is the stuffing (have I mentioned my chestnut stuffing? lol). So maybe one sandwich with turkey, cranberry sauce, mayo, and stuffing on the side.
Didn't have a T-day dinner, but Friday I volunteered at the food shelf and they were giving out leftovers from the big community meal. So I came home with a bunch of mashed potatoes, stuffing, and some squash and cranberry sauce. I had it Friday, Sat., Sun and today. The I put the rest of the potatoes and stuffing in the freezer. I'll drag it out later.
Love leftovers. Get a 20 lb turkey to be sure I have plenty (there are only 4 of us), Never have had to throw any away except one year when hubs and I both got sick. (not from the food.).
The naxyt day I usually like to counteract Thanksgiving food with something opposite. We ordered Pizza. Yesterday and today we just picked all day. I love leftovers. I make just enough so nothing is lying around after about 6 days. I do Intermittent Fasting and today is a fasting day.
On the Friday after, my wife ate some leftovers, while I made grilled turkey sandwiches which I wait all year for.
On Saturday, we delivered a bunch of leftovers to our daughter in college, and we boiled the turkey carcass for a few hours, picked out the bones and gristle, tossed in all the remaining leftovers, along with some other ingredients, and made a huge pot of turkey soup/stew.
And then we ate on it until it was gone, which was sometime on Monday (to be honest, I am about turkeyed out by then).
We traditionally make turkey tetrazzini with the leftover turkey but now that I'm gluten free I make turkey fried rice instead.
