Dirt Grinder, I look forward to making them some day! They sound quite delish!

Oh, and one more question... Do you make yours cooked on top the stove in water, or do you grill them?

I prefer the hotdogs with natural casing, so I like them boiled. When I grill them the skin pops.

I think the only reason I like cole slaw is because of KFC.

Just read that one of the posters had never heard of cole slaw on a hot dog. It is downright DELICIOUS. Everything, slaw, chili, relish and mustard. I haven't had a dog in a few years--sodium content too high for me--but I used to love them. Something about the cold sweetness of the slaw, mingled with the hot chili and tangy mustard...

Always have. Plenty of times when I will run out just to have some to go with dinner. Brings that down home feel to the rest of the meal.

The LJS in my area is paired with A & W. It's been so long since our family had been there to eat.
We used to have a Bob Evans. Wondering what might go in there next. Maybe a Denny's, Perkins, or Boston Market? That would also be nice. Some of the local grocery stores have roasted chickens for under 10 dollars and the deli has a couple options for cole slaw, options for a 2nd can either be found in deli or the salad bar area. I would like to try Bojangles/Popeyes but that's 30 mins in the opposite direction. One of these days.

Wow, all this talk is making me want to get chicken there for take-out tomorrow night.

My Dad and my friend (76) works there part time after he retired on Sundays. We like KFC original chicken and all the sides they make. Part of his pay is getting to take home whatever is left at the end of his shift if he wants it. The high school kids always have to be someplace else and leave the mess for him to clean up. I like to help him out on his farm. He always tips well!!

I don't eat there. I like home made Cole slaw. With mayo, or Carolina style. I don't eat at fast food stores.
