I have never seen so many "boil water" notices as in Florida!

After a hurricane it's pretty much assumed we'll have to, even before they put out a notice. It does depend on the area though. Palm Bay still has a lot of septic, so even though they may end up with flooding, the sewer isn't always an issue.

This is a little off topic, but remember when TO (Terrell Owens) had his show on VH1 earlier this year? He's in Miami at a restaurant and orders water with his meal? He takes a sip, and looks at the glass, and he's like, what in the he// is this stuff? LOL. It was hilarious, he obviously didnt know not to order water in FL unless its from a bottle.

lol, Miami Beach has awful water actually. Miami is not bad. I'll only get tap water at a restaurant around here, but nowhere else in Florida. For whatever reason, the water in a lot of the cities around here is very clean tasting, probably because a lot of them have reverse osmosis filters. Once you get to about Boca Raton, or south/east of Miami city limits, you start tasting the difference.

We are in Manatee County, and the water tastes great to me here. I drink it straight from the tap, and I can honestly say it's the best tasting municipal water I have had anywhere I have lived. Tastes good at the restaurants here, too. Almost as good as my deep well water I had in Pasco County.

What DOES taste bad is some places with bad water and ice from the ice-maker - ugh. I think Sarasota water tastes pretty bad. When we used to live downtown Sarasota I had to have Z-hills drinking water delivered. I think the further south you go in Florida, the worse the water tastes in general.

I don't drink ANY of the water here in any part of FL, bad enough we have to cook with it... Even with a brita you can taste the nastiness. Bottled for me only, I will deal with the cancer causing agents in the bottles. At least it tastes good.

I wonder why the water in Pensacola and Jacksonville got such low rankings. Are their water plants really old? Or is it something else?
