Well apparetnly, starting new service down in Florida is gonna cost me $165 in security deposit. This is of course with a fico score of 702, no degagtories, bankrupties, leins, and/or judgments. I have a letter of reference from my current company DTE, that shows positive payment history with no lates in over 10 years of service.(60 months on my credit report, which apparently they do a hard pull on). Their stance is that they are an energy company that bills after usage, DUH, they all do that. It is also their policy not to accept refernece letters from other utility companies in respect to determing security deposit or starting new service with them. Most be some very special electricity.

Ha, you think that is expensive? Wait until you register your car in Florida. You're looking around $400. And yes.... our electricity is special... it has special Manatee dust fused into it.

Instead of posting on a thread last posted on 8 years ago in a general Florida board where most of us have no idea what OTOTW is you might want to start your topic in the Ocala forum.....had to google OTOTW myself.

If you are on a tight budget, do not even think about moving here. You will be making a huge mistake.

At this point in time, with inflation raging here at 9.6%, Florida is for the affluent with big nest eggs in the 7 figure range, & high wage earners making 6 figures, and zero debt.

If you are not one of those, please do not come here right now. You will thank me one day.
