It also requires local jurisdictions to provide places for them to go.

With no state funding and limitation set to 365 days with required running water, restrooms and security which will limit to existing buildings or new construction not likely to pass NIMBY resistance or funding required at the county level...never mind what happens after the 365 days are up. So in other words we're talking in most cases the license to round up and place them wherever deemed "appropriate" and in not necessarily favorable conditions. This will force many homeless folks into the woods to avoid "capture" and create a crisis in rural areas instead. The equivalent of cleaning house and shoving the mess/disorder under the beds or in closets.

OK, elaborate. What should they do with that money? Waiting to hear your solution.

They can go camp in the wild if they're into camping. I've never once thought to camp on the streets of my city. I don't know how this got normalized as being okay.

Your compassion for those less fortunate is quite honorable.

We aren't all given the same deck of cards.

Heaven forbid anyone in FL think outside the box.

Alternative housing like prefab container homes cost less than 20K and can be placed anywhere. A parcel of land with running water/plumbing for 50 residents would cost around 1.2 million dollars plus land costs (if any).

Existing vacant commercial buildings is another example with similar purchase/renovation costs and even more residents.

Tiny shed-style homes is another and can be accomplished for a few thousand dollars each and set-up in a setting with campground-like bathroom and laundry amenities. https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion...-a-big-impact/

The point there are many options if at all into humane solutions, albeit that's not a Florida train of thought when it comes to the poor and disenfranchised.
