Just as a PSA, the study is about whom SPENDS the most on groceries, not that other areas cost less.

For example, if you took a couple of two living in Miami eating lobster and milet mignon vs. a couple in a poorer state buying hamburger and ketchup....it will differ.

My only beef with these discussions is that we are honest and inform people. We may have different opinions and ideas, but let's make honest statements and comparisons so that we have a framework to hold them.

I usually get either Happy Egg or Handsome Eggs. The large are almost always really extra-large, and sometimes they toss a jumbo or two in there. The colors aren't uniform, they're all brown, some are speckled, this means there is less in-breeding, the birds are healthier, more appropriately fed (bugs, worms, and seed/grain mixture, which is what birds that live free on farms eat). The yolks are a deeper orange rather than pale yellow, the whites whip up much better into merengue, omelets tend to be fluffier and more flavorful, and cakes taste better. Also - the bowl you use to beat the eggs doesn't have that weird smell to it that you get if you only buy factory eggs.
