Small 1's don't bother anyone. It is the very big hairy 1's that are scary.

I guess I can understand that. They are literally a hairy walking eight-legged carnivorous ball of venom with disproportionally huge fangs and multiple large eyes… And yeah, one can observe them actively “watching” you lol.

I’m not too bothered by them, but I’d rather not touch them.

I gave one of these guys a ride on my forearm from Bridgeport CT to NYC once:

Didn't notice he was hitching a ride til I went to turn on the radio of the car. Cute little fella, he was comfy and didn't look very hungry, so we co-existed and I let him out on 58th and West End Ave.

Did not know that.

Personally, I can't imagine why people eat lettuce, but if you are going to just wash it off. Lettuce has no taste; maybe the spider does.

This is in a Florida post? Do you know how many spiders and insects there are in Florida?!
It depends on what you put on your salad to make it tasty. Plus I put multiple vegetables on my salad.

I do eat it now and then but prefer a darker green and crunchier lettuce.

If you just have occasional days/weeks during the year when there are a few roaches or a small army of ants roaming around your kitchen counters, then yeah traps are the way to go.

Otherwise, don't try to kill the spiders if you can possibly avoid it. Instead lead them outside the house where they can serve as natural pesticides, eating the bugs and preventing them from getting into your house in the first place.
Thanks, but I mostly have those flying white flies that come around from time to time. Sometimes I have gotten 100s to 1000s of them. And did call the bug guy for that and the palmettos that visit from time to time. Also, I have taken spiders out but sometimes and a lot of times they get caught in my traps.
