LOL...and spot on too!...a follow up to the NAACP's travel advisory

(BTW, for those that don't know, the chairman of the NAACP lives in Tampa, Florida)

Rick Scott issues travel advisory for ‘socialists,’ warning Florida is ‘openly hostile’ to them

"According to the release, the formal travel notice says "Florida is openly hostile toward Socialists, Communists, and those that enable them" and that before "traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by Socialists and others who work in the Biden Administration."

"Let me be clear – any attempts to spread the oppression and poverty that Socialism always brings will be rebuffed by the people of Florida," Scott, the former governor of Florida, said. "Travelers should be aware that attempts to spread Socialism in north Florida will fail and be met with laughter and mockery."

"However, in much of Central and South Florida, the situation is far more dangerous for Socialists, as they may encounter people from Cuba, Venezuela, and other parts of Central and South America and the Caribbean who have direct knowledge of, and experience with, the horrors of Socialism," he continued."

Skeletor the jokester 1

NAACP the wokester 0

Too funny that the NAACP director lives in Tampa. That is like AOC knocking FLA, then coming here for vacation.

Where does Debbie Wasserman Schultz come in on all of this? Charlie Crist? Andrew Gillum? Cat got their tongue?

Funny coming from RINO Rick Scott! I'm Republican voting but can't stand the guy, especially after signing that large anti gun bill! DeSantis is a HUGE upgrade in governor over him.

Better than directly mocking the NAACP, but not by much.
Ridiculous conduct seriously unbecoming a US Senator.

A lot of people in this country won't read, or care about, or know about, what the NAACP does or doesn't say or do with regards to Florida. Especially those who don't live in Florida.

That would make Florida news, it might make a few tabloids, or a page 9 paragraph in a major city paper, and a "oh by the way" piece on the national news.

However, a US Senator proclaiming that American citizens belonging to a wide varieties of political categories are forbidden to enter a state and that it'll basically be open season on them - that's something they'll read.
And absorb. And be major world-wide news, not just state or national news.

He is reintroducing McCarthyism to the United States. The first step of McCarthyism is to vilify the act of even just thinking about different political philosophies. The second step is using the vilification of them to accuse anyone who disagrees with you about anything, of belonging to one of those groups. No evidence needed. It's also known as a Witch Hunt. It isn't one yet. But this is one of the first steps toward that.

Rick Scott? Isn’t that the same guy involved in a $1.7 billion dollar Medicare fraud?

What are his thoughts on the socialism of constant bank bailouts with taxpayer money? Privatize gains, socialize the losses…wake up right wingers.

I wouldn't expect anything less from the worthless piece of you know what given he has done about zip for his constituents other than seriously pad his own pockets and legislate in favor of his own interests. Just like when he was governor.

Agree. Rick Scott was BY FAR the most worthless governor Florida has ever had (Charlie Crist is second) and I cannot stand him.

Politics Politics Politics. Finger pointing, fear mongering, conspiracy theories and the rubes that buy into it like gospel.

I think I'm going to Disney in December with my Hindu friend and her daughter. She is 11 and has never been to Disney. I'm sure we will get some stares, but I don't care. Love is love. Now some radicalized lunatic fringe? That is a concern.
