I did it for the weekly paycheck for my savings and discount on groceries. Lol, but it was not worth my blood pressure going up in 2020 when 50% of cashiers quit. Here I was, suppose to be home and they calling texting me while I am driving. Hmmm, it is my day off, remember part-timer.

I miss the pay, but....

Not sure what all this low wage talk is about - I’ve seen a seismic shift in wages in Florida within the past few years.
I totally agree. I know Two younger people in their late 20's making $200k+ in genetics sales. I know Two 60+'ers making six figures in medical sales. I know a few small business owners who make 6 figures too.

None of these people whine constantly on internet forums, so you don't hear about them. They worked hard in school to get good grades, got college degrees, and then went into the right field, and excelled by working very very hard. They EARNED every penny.

Most were my roommates from college and their friends. Occupations range from Pharmacists(several actually), lawyers, Engineers, and various forms of sales professionals. I personally know a few late 20s making high five figures as well (65k - 85k).

Florida doesn’t have the best wages, that I’ll agree with, but making 75k plus really isn’t that difficult…in a major metro area in Florida.

Pharmacist only making 65k?? Lawyer i can believe it. Hard profession to get into a good firm and many end up taking low paying public defender jobs. Being a lawyer and suddenly making bank is not an easy task!

My CVS now closes on weekends, no help. Lol, so it is a mad rush to go get my refills before it arrives. I have a feeling they may close location as aisles stay full of unpacked boxes. And pharmacy probably "sharing" employees with other locations. Yikes!

I'm confused on OP's "minimum wage"??
Florida's? National's?, Local's? Competitive"s?

example:Washington, King Co. :14.49; National:7.25; Local 14.49 to 15.00+; Competitive 20-22.00.
YMMV

CVS was having issues before Covid even started. Before covid even started they quit being a 24 hour pharmacy near me. I mean, they're open 24 hours but the pharmacy side was closed. Seems like a big waste to have the actual pharmacy open at 2am.

They always have stock issues and carry a limited stock of basic stuff. Also, their prices are a lot higher than Walgreens for the same item.

Interesting info, thanks. Due to my insurance I had to switch to them last month. Yikes, glad I only use them for their pharmacy.
