Mine was 59 smackers a few months ago. I don't want a phone bone that has the net.

How do you function in life with a cheap flip phone?? Yet I see young people are able to buy $1200 phones every year.

I have that problem at my business. Older folks have flip phones and I don't sell cases for them. If the older folks bought new phones every year I'd be a rich person selling my stuff at the fleamarket.

You should see the folding phones now. They unfold and turn into a tablet.

It's a trade-off, for sure. I've never sent a text message in my life....but I've also never received a "junk text" or any of those scam robocalls everyone complains about...not even during election season. By carrying a flip-phone that (*gasp*) only makes phone calls, I have a dirt-cheap phone bill (that whole "<$50k" discussion) and the phone itself is free. I've never been the type to obsess over sharing pictures of my food with everyone (or pictures of anything else), and I don't need to be 'distracted' 24/7. I don't even like using the phone to make phone calls. I keep waiting for some situation to present itself which might require me to look into buying a smartphone, but it has not happened yet.

Hanging the tv is one thing. I had an outlet put in and an hdmi cable strung to the adjacent wall and out to a cabinet. This requires cutting into Sheetrock and patching, painting, etc., unless you want to simply use a cord cover.

I could definitely see this being a decent side job.

If you can wire and hang tv's, install antenna's in attic's, have a strong work ethic, and can be nice to customers, you are good for $60k/yr...minimum.

I could list many other businesses that pay a living age, if you are willing to work for yourself.

There’s also the not hitting any pipes or electrical wires during install part. We’ve got one of those super duper stud, wire, and pipe finders and it lit up like a Christmas tree (Happy college football bowl season y’all!) when we tried to hang a tv on the bedroom wall because there’s apparently a crazy amount of wire in the wall between our primary bedroom and primary bathroom.

One possible way to route the cable is up the stud bay to the ceiling, then over to the wall and down. Either way it is a project. With electrical there are codes, of course, to be safe.
