I would be surprised if it happens but who would have thought the no smoking bans have gone as far as they have. It is a messy problem, say an old smoker that quite in 1995.

The city of Fernandina Beach where we reside just passed an ordinance banning smoking from city beaches and parks.

What’s next? Weight limits on beach goers? I find looking at obese people in scanty swim trunks to be way more offensive than someone smoking a cig outdoors.

I used to smoke and would have hated this ban so I don't know how I'd vote. The disposal of the butts is a big problem, it's awful walking barefoot in sand and getting a cigarette butt stuck between your toes. It's also sad because mother birds/ducks try to feed the butts to their babies: https://nypost.com/2019/06/28/bird-i...igarette-butt/
