Thanks Rick Scott for killing my beautiful home state!

Beaches full of pollution, algae and dead animals, oh my.

Yep, it's a disaster. No thought for trying to preserve anything. He's a jerk and a criminal how he got elected is beyond me.

Not to mention our springs are dying. Basically the entire state is being eaten up by algae due to pollution.

It's pretty ridiculous. I agree.

This has been years in the making. Even last year they were having issues and it just compounded with the new release this year. They shot themselves in the foot cause its going to have an impact on tourism for sure. Hopefully people won't lose jobs over this, the working class I mean..

So instead of worrying about shark attacks we have to worry about deadly algae?

With all seriousness though, we should do more to protect our environment.

The degradation of Floridas environment has been going on for 50 years or more. The constant pumping of the aquifer in North Central Florida, influence of big sugar and agriculture, the redirection and changes to the KOE watershed starting in 1905 and the continuous development and population increases on the east and west coast waterfront have all contributed. To blame all this on Rick Scott is partisan politics at its worst. Cant recall any other governor {dem or repub} doing much about it either

You are right. It's not all Rick Scott. But he's been one of the most anti-enviro govs I've seen in Fla.
