Very badly for the state of Florida, obviously, as the efforts of FL politicians have ( not surprisingly, considering), fallen on deaf ears in Washington. Apparently you've missed, or conveniently ignored, the past efforts of the state politicians requesting the Army Corp of Engineers to reduce the flow of water down the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie rivers, only to be ignored or refused outright-both last summer and earlier this year. More recently, once the deleterious effects of the Army Corps actions have been documented-by environmental groups and state politicians (incluring the state of emergency for the counties affected by the runoff and blu-green algae bloom), the Army has announced they will reduce the flow, sometime, but it continues. Lip service, I'd opine, it's an election year, after all...

Those are the facts. If it suits your political perspectives better to ignore the heavy-handedness of the feds in ruining the states ecology (and quality of life in other states as well by undermining local political jurisdictions), guess that is your choice.

And illegal aliens, including so-called "undocumented minors"that look a lot like male teenage gang members keep flooding over the borders from Mexico into TX, CA and other border states, or "refugees" from the Middle East and who knows where else end up anywhere in the US where they overwhelm the local educational, medical, social and other services as they are forced on states/cities/ small towns by the Obama administration. We see how well that has worked out too.

Yes, indeed. California is the place to be if you like droughts, mudslides, a state near bankruptcy, earthquakes, high cost of living, Illegal immigrant population of just under 7 percent of all residents, horrible government regulation, the highest state income tax rate in the nation and Jerry Brown.

Pretty much. Facts only matter to them when they fit their agenda.
