Most of Florida is EXTREMELY CLEAN and devoid of much trash.
Compare most FL cities to where you live now, for instance. For whatever reason, people place Canadian cities on a pedestal when it comes to cleanliness, but every time I go back to Montreal, it's littered with trash, alleys smell like ****, the air is thick with smoke... I don't see much of this in Orlando, Tampa, or even Miami.

I have been to FL many, many times over the years and other than a few down towns, FL is very clean. Will be there again in 2 weeks and hope to move there next year.

So sad to see and fortunately a problem I don't see on the Gulf Coast beaches I frequent the most: Englewood, Manasota, Venice and Nokomis. Your picture looks like it was taken after a major event like the Fourth of July with hordes of people in attendance. My NY village park looks the same after the Fourth and fireworks the next day before it's cleaned up. Group mentality, no personal responsibility and hidden alcoholic beverages more than being ecologically backwards I suspect.

Our FL Gulf beaches, usually weekdays:

And this is the kind of litter we come across; pesky shells, seaweed, feathers, and SAND!
