Did you get any rain last week? It's been dry down there.

I find the summer weather where I live now, Panama City Beach, much more pleasant when compared to when I was stationed in Jacksonville. In Jax, I was about 30 miles inland. Now here in PCB, I'm about 2 miles to the Gulf. I believe the gulf breeze makes living here much more pleasant.

FWIW, we are sort of experiencing winter today and for the next 7 or so days. Luckily it will be a short winter, followed by shorts and t-shirt wearing weather.

I can attest to that. I am 4 miles from the coast, and it is MUCH more pleasant here than it was when I lived in Orlando.

I don't see how. I am right on the gulf and when water temps are 84f to 91f it feels like a steam bath from hell mel with a west flow all day. Now this time a year a west wind can keep me much cooler than inland when water temps are around 60f. Walk out at 5 am in the summer and get slapped in the face with a low of around 82f and a dew point over 75f will make anyone roll over and die.

I dunno man... I go on bike rides with my kids on the Pinellas Trail, and we end up going through Dunedin and to Honeymoon or Wall Springs pretty much every weekend. We LOVE it.

I just don't like temps over 80f and dews over 70f. I love what we got now and wished we had it year round.

I love all that though.
