The problem is that you cannot be moderate in today's political climate. There's hardly enough room to pass a sheet of paper between a moderate Rep or Dem., but they're not in fashion.

I think Jeb and chris christie have done a decent job not pandering too much to the religious right.

Crist has literally flip flopped on abortion, gay marriage etc. How do you do that in your mid 50s?? Answer: For politcal expediency

Jeb! 2002 was something of a centrist. Jeb!2014 is now pandering to moral majority and tea bagger at every shot because if he runs, he wants to make it out of a hard right primary.

Christie and Bush are not moderates. Any inclinations they make towards moderation is the very same political expediency you're accusing Crist of.

Christie pretty much leaves social issues out of the picture, where they belong.

Then again, neither of them are pretending to change parties either

Looks like Amendment 1 is going to pass very comfortably. Not everyone forgot Scott's rather under the table attempt to long lease a number of pristine state parks to golf course developers.

And Rick Scott has literallly flip flopped on teachers' pay, medicaid and all kinds of budget cuts. How does someone do that in the middle of their term?

Answer: pandering to get elected to a state whose population he could not care less about.

The only reason possible for voters to ignore Scott's total flip flops is denial and refusal to face reality. The guy is a crook--and he's like Florida's own Nixon. I totally expect him to do anything he criminally can get away with to win.

And Mitt Romney didn't do the same thing in 2012? Biggest disappointment was that Greg Orman didn't win in Kansas. Nothing going to change as long as the extremists hold both parties hostage while Congress continues to punt the ball to the Fed and ignore the will of the majority..
