I don't have a problem with people wearing shorts with tights. I used to do it when I was around 13-14 but I've stopped wearing it, mainly because I find it uncomfortable. Shorts with tights are more squashy and restricting than skirts IMO, because skirts are more loose and flowy.

I've seen it occasionally.

Yes, wearing pants is more practical. But surely this isn't the first time you've seen a fashion choice that puts form above function.

I do this sometimes in late winter when I am tired of my winter clothes .

It's very comfortable, with the right shorts. Feels liberating, compared to pants!

I see that all the time in Seattle, Westlake area and in the bus tunnel, even when snowing, but it's always the young Asian women. Now, with the warmer weather, they are all wearing daisy dukes.
