I don't think that matches the description. I've had one with seizures, that's this at all. This is more like a belly hiccups. Mine would move as well, eventually, he just got used to it.

Good luck on Monday! Need an update please.
Exactly, mine went the same way. The whole seizure idea is way off base. A seizure is like the Northern Lights... you'll know exactly what it is when you see it.

Trust me, if you're ever unlucky enough to see your dog have one, you won't be posting a message board, you'll be sitting in your vet's office.

My 11 year old dog does this, it’s like twitching/jolt mostly in the head/neck area, he does it several times a day, I’d say it’s been happening for a few months but I didn’t take much notice of it because I thought he was dreaming or going into a deep sleep until I noticed him doing it with his eyes open or while sitting or standing. He’s going to the vet on Thursday, hopefully I get an answer

Just an update for anyone who might read this, my dog had full blood test and a urine test and all came back fine. Vet reckons it could have something to do with nerves but because he’s in good condition and doesn’t have any other symptoms and it’s not effecting his quality of life to just keep an eye on it, and if it progresses then we’ll look at treatments for maybe seizures. Couldn’t do an MRI because they aren’t available in my state so I’d have to fly him interstate to get one done. I was given a sheet on information about epilepsy and seizures so to look out if his symptoms change. I would have like more answers for what could be causing it but not much else available to do in my small state.

Thank you very much for reporting back. It sounds a bit hard, not knowing what is going on. But it's great to have the vet's reassurance, at least for now. I hope your dog continues to be (mainly) healthy and comfortable for a good long while!

Arrow I found possible cause !

I realize this is 12 years too late but I read this thread looking for answers so my findings might help the next person reading this. Tremorgenic Mycotoxin Toxicity: The Moldy Shakes. Dog food is extremely vulnerable to mold and it is not always obvious to the naked eye. I fed my dogs treats that said refridgwrate after opening that i had missed because it was covered up by an upc sticker! Always keep dog food sealed in a dry cool place preferably the fridge and throw out any food not consumed in 24 hours and thoroughly wash all dishes including water bowl daily, having 2 sets and throwing in dishwasher nightly is the easiest and most effective way to sanitize. Hope this helps someone ,
