I tried EVERYTHING. I even put hot sauce and cayenne pepper on it and my goofy dog STILL ate it. (I think she ran to the water dish soon after, but to be honest, I can't remember).

The only 100% effective, never fail remedy is to pick it up when they lay it down.

I too use the hot pepper BUT I put it on as she popped! That away she didn't associate it with me! You have to use a LOT! Not a light sprinkle! IF all they have to do is get a drink then that not enough. Heck they just think you Seasoned it for them To eat!
