That was my original point, that the hell-bent for leather development in Pueblo West may not continue forever.....

Oh ok. It is a master planned community anyway to 65,000 people.

In my part of Pueblo West 6 new houses in the past year outside my windows within one block. The fun part is traffic has doubled.

I love that highway 50 is becoming a major highway with 6 lanes and overpasses. According to the highway plans CDOT wants flyovers at Highway 50 and Pueblo Blvd.

I think it is long past time for some major upgrades to highway 50 all through the state. It is downright dangerous right now and needs to be a divided highway with more lanes and lighting, imho.

I thought I would post this because Pueblo is finally growing......

After years of slow growth, more home developers are turning their sights to Pueblo

The Pueblo city planning department is currently working with developers on projects that, once approved, could create nearly 1,700 new potential dwelling units.

Hobson said out-of-town and national developers are also buying properties and that could lead to larger-scale developments in the future.

Preliminary discussions, rezoning applications and other actions are in the works for projects that could total an additional 6,000 single-family homes or apartments, ranging from affordable housing to more expensive units.

I am wanting to move to that area, and it seems Colorado Springs is not in line with my budget. What part of Pueblo should I look at if I want some peace and quiet in a nice subdivision?

Any areas to avoid?

Aberdeen is always pretty nice, area around golf course south of St. Clair is still nice, parts of Eagle Ridge area ok the further you get from HWY 50 and Elizabeth across to east side, due to Homeless Town.

If you got money, El Camino and Walking Stick is nice.

Pueblo West has nice places if you go west of Purcell and north or south on McCulloch, but better the further west you go on south of HWY 50

Speaking of Pueblo West, my next door neighbor is moving there to take a job offer with the State. I clued him in to Zillow and Realtor.Com. I talked to him last night and he said Realtor.com listed 545 properties, apparently there is a lot going on regarding newer construction.
