Ok...we have tried Dewey's, Mama LaBullBoxer31, Ramundo's, Mios...
Have not yet found REALLY good pizza here! 'Any obscure neighborhood places that you can recommend. 'Live on the East side but will travel a bit for a good find! (For anyone who has lived in Charlotte, want something comparable to "Pie Town" or "La Strada's"!)

I don't know what to tell you. I Googled Pie Town Charlotte reviews and they were really mediocre. No 5 stars mostly 3.5 even from home town reviewers. Dewey's is 4.5-5 stars across the board.

So you are probably looking for a particular pie that you like as a personal preference. I think I'd like the intentionally burnt crust thing but I haven't seen it here.

LaStrada looks like an Italian restaurant with pizze but it does get good reviews. So, if its just an Italian thing, search this forum, there is a lot of disagreement about Italian places here. But, I like Scotti's - but it pretty weird.

I have to say Dewey's as well, although it irked me when they took the meatball pizza off the regular menu.

I have several friends who live in Chicago and the first thing they want when they come to town is Dewey's. One was so taken with it that he wanted to open a Chicago franchise (Dewey's doesn't franchise).

I recognize that Dewey's is good, but sometimes I just don't want it, I'd rather have something cheap and greasy like NYPD in Northside or Ross Pizza in Monfort Heights.

Speaking of Northside, a lot of people are raving about North Slice NorthSlice Pizza - Northside - Cincinnati, OH although they're always closed when I remember I want to swing by there and pick up a slice.

Hubby and I often drive all the way up to Fairfield to Richard's.

Aponte's Pizzeria in Mason is great if you like New York Style! I also really like the brick oven pizza from The Works in Loveland. I'm not a fan of Chicago style/deep dish pizza so if that is what you are looking for I'm not sure, though I've heard by some that Chinatti's in Kenwood is good.

There's a dive bar over in Burlington, Ky. that has the best deep dish pizza in the entire area. It's in a strip shopping center. The name escapes me right now, but I don't have time to look it up.

Noce's Pizzeria
9797 Montgomery Rd.

NY Style pizza. Service can be a bit sketchy sometimes, but pizza is really good.
