Dick Clark has become synonymous with New Year's Eve, so it's no surprise the renowned television host is back to ring in 2012 and celebrate the 40th anniversary of his iconic program, "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve."
Clark will once again make an appearance alongside Ryan Seacrest on the annual ABC special, set to air beginning at 10 p.m. EST on Dec. 31.
I think his 40th time would have been a nice time to call it a day...for many people that grew up with American Bandstand...Pyramid...and Rockin Eve I just feel bad watching him struggle on a live broadcast!I understand why he felt the need to come back a few years ago after his stroke...but 40 years is a great way to go out, wonder why??

I agree, it is time for him to pack it in. While we all grew up with Dick Clark, to see him like that is kind of sad. New Years people are trying to be happy and in a party mood, and I feel DC to be a real downer.
Even though I am always home....I've never even watched this show.
Don't feel bad, your not missing anything.
This is when I know I am getting old, because a few years ago I watched it, (I had a bad head cold), anyway "The Jonas Brothers" were performing, and after seeing their performance, I then realized that my head cold wasn't that bad.
