Congrats Spain, the Champs, France, 2nd place and Turkey, 3rd place. Honorable mention, USA, 4th place.
Here are the final top players as of the tournament and I wish all these guys go to the NBA:
1. Zacharie Perrin. The French top player is also the tournament's top player. Scoring, rebounding, efficiency.
2. Hansen Yang. The next Yao Ming, 7'1 at 17 years old and this good already.
3. Izan Almansa Perez. Spain is unbeaten and the Champs and Izan has alot to do with it. Quick and tall.
4. Lee Aaliya. Superb performances the past games from this Argentinian. Consistent top rebounder.
5. Tobe Awaka. Top dog of the Dream Team. He's a strong big bodied player and a workhorse in rebounds.
6. Lazar Djokovic. Phenomenal final 2 games from the Serb got him solidified at 6th.
7. Berke Buyuktuncel. Turkey's next NBA potential. Good mix of offense and rebounding.
8. Melvin Ajinca. Another French who's been consistently good. Great outside shooter and perimeter defender.
9. Lucas Giovanetti. Guys like Lucas and Lee Aaliya are what keeps Argentina a power in FIBA.
10.Taylor Akira Jacobs. This ***-Am is Japan's next NBA potential. He's like #8 Ajinca.
Next 2: Lovasoa Ny Aina Andyerson Andriatsarafara (Madagascar) and Samat Yigitoglu (Turkey).
For the USA Team, as mentioned above, Tobe Awaka is the runaway best player. He is followed by Dylan Harper and Asa Newell. What happened to Mark Armstrong and Tre Johnson? Well, their scoring dipped some in their final 2 games where it mattered. I think they got overwhelmed by the bigger bodied opponents and could not convert some of the shots they made the prior. Ian Jackson meanwhile is the team's best 3pt shooter hitting 7 of his 14 attempts for 50%, good for a triple tie on the top spot with Arne Osojnik of Slovenia and Eijirio Ogawa of Japan.

Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Chet Holmgren is reportedly among the players named to the USA Basketball select team ahead of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The news was reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania and Joe Vardon. The select team will practice and scrimmage daily with the 12-man roster Aug. 3-6 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They will also be eligible to travel with the team and serve as potential injury replacement players before the start of the event in the Philippines. Joining Holmgren on the team will be teammate Jalen Williams, Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham, Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green and Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray among others.
Cade Cunningham, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams and Keegan Murray are a few youthful talents that have been named to the Select Team recently and on Friday, more rising stars were added to the roster. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, New Orleans Pelicans swingman Trey Murphy III and Minnesota Timberwolves big man Naz Reid will also be part of the USA Basketball Select Team for FIBA World Cup training camp.
Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard and New York Knicks guard Quentin Grimes were also named to USA Basketball Select Team on Friday.
KAT to play for DR, joining a group potentially made of Al Horford, Chris Duarte, Jean Montero, and Lester Quinones. One of their most talented players - Angel Nunez is not in the pool though. I call him the Greek Freak of DR. He's a major loss to their campaign.

Angel Nunez (not on DR pool)
Horford better rest those bones for the NBA postseason if he’s still holding out hope for a ring. He was gassed this year.
Team USA is preparing for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. A lot of the conversation since the roster was announced has been negative though, with the absence of stars like Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Paul George being noted. The criticism was amplified after Team USA lost to the USA Select Team in scrimmages on Saturday, which is mostly made up of younger NBA stars that are less established. But one small change has turned the tides, according to reports. "Steve Kerr moved Anthony Edwards into the starting lineup on Saturday and started him next to Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Brandon Ingram, and Jaren Jackson Jr. The main roster swept the select team in scrimmages."
USA just takes these FIBA games in stride as a qualifier to the Olympics. It's something we could afford since we have the best players come Olympics. We just need to place in the top 7 (or 8) in the World Cup which is almost always a guarantee.
And even if by some miracle we don't, we just have to be make sure we are in the top 16 since the placers from 9-16 gets a crack in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament next year. for the 4 last spots. If it comes to that, expect for the superstars to come out from USA to participate.
