I should have posted when I read this, I knew it would come back to the ferry as all these thread tangents do.

But now that Musk is in town, you probably have to worry about a tunnel instead of a bridge. A tunnel that will only work with Teslas.

The Woodlands appeals to many people because of the forested scenery, but it has been appealing to me since February because of the Eastern Grid.

TBH I wouldn't move to Texas right now until the electric grid problem is sorted out. Moving to Entergy's service area would be advisable if you have to move to Texas.

I would say that Bastrop is very similar with that small, isolated westernmost patch of the same Piney Woods.
