My Top 3 favorite pizza places are

Via 313 Pizza on Guadalupe
Pinthouse Pizza (I've only been to the one on Burnet)
Roppolo's Pizza West Campus on Guadalupe)

I'm interested in checking out the other pizza places in Austin as I've only lived here for just under 9 months.

I personally don’t like New York style Pizza so for me Via313 is the best in Austin.

Before the Pandemic happened, FortWorth had an UNO’s Chicago Style Pizza in Downtown that I would make an excursion to on my trips to or from Atlanta. They top just about any Pizza we have… but they’re out of business now soooo….

Craigo’s is a good one. I don’t think there are any north though.

You mentioned the few that ALWAYS get mentioned. They’re all good choices.

For being a chill, wine/beer spot Central Machine Works on fifth has a good pizza. If you want the full experience, go when you have to walk a mile to find parking (I am slightly dramatic here..but I go to central on Wednesdays for a run group and I’ve legit caught people walking a half a mile from our start to get there). If you don’t want to deal with the madness do curbside

I still haven't been to Homeslice Pizza but have heard great things about that place, are they located south of Downtown?

CraigO’s, Homeslice, used to love Hoboken Pie on Red River but not sure if they are still around. Via 313 is excellent but not my favorite style. Austin’s pizza is not bad either.

I was a big fan of Roppolos when I was at UT in the early 90s… it was in west campus, but I have no idea if the Roppolos then was the same as the one now. That was quite a long time ago.

As a New Yorker, IMHO Reale's is better than Home Slice.

Yes. South Congress. It’s definitely not a NY Slice place.

You may want to take a look at Brooklyn Heights if you’re on the north side. It can be hit and miss but when they hit it’s pretty damn good.

Brooklyn Pie Co is a good one. They are way south though.
