I used to like Aljon's, Mama's and Conan's. Mama's is long gone. Haven't been to Aljon's in ages.

The Pour House on Jollyville Road in NW Austin has great pizza. Also great fried mushrooms. ;D And a large outdoor patio as well as inside dining.

I haven't THOUGHT of Aljon's in ages. Is it still open? I'm drawing a blank on where it is/was.

Yes, it's very good.

We got Reale's last night based on the recommendations in this thread for the first time in a while and prefer Pour House by a long shot.

Don't laugh but I've had decent pizza from BB Rover's before.

Niki's in Cedar Park might be my favorite for NY style at the moment.

I'm interested in checking out the other pizza places in Austin as I've only lived here for just under 9 months.
Since I created this thead I've updated my favorite pizza places and they are

Toss Pizzeria (South 1st Street)
Little Deli Pizzeria (Woodrow in North Austin)
Via 313 Pizza on Guadalupe
Cheesy Bite on Grand Avenue Parkway in Pflugerville (for the lunch specials you can get a medium cheese pizza for $4.99!)

I went to Aviator and thought they were good, I went to the one on Congress just north of William Cannon.

That was my first experience with them. There’s one within walking distance for me now so I walk and get it.

I've yet to find a good pizza place in the Austin metroplex. My wife's boss was raving about Via 313. One opened up near us so we gave it a try....yuck!
