The annual running of the 'Texas Water Safari' is coming up. Start time is 9 am on June 8th. Anyone interested in endurance events should go check out the start at Aquarena Springs. It is a fascinating event.

Nah, These cars slide easy in the rain.. ..over time you generally get a feel for how far you can go with it, and when you go too far you just kind of let off and let her correct and keep on with driving. I've gotten used to having the rear slide here and there. The important thing is just not to panic or overreact when you start going sideways.. ..and gently correct.

@Trainwreck20

Apparently the value of my car has just skyrocketed after I posted that video:

I'm kidding, but I had to laugh at how outrageously high these cars are priced. I sure hope no one's buying them at that price point.

Edit: Actually after looking further it turns out they're Yenko's which are specially modified cars.. ..still a bit on the high end of the pricing scheme though.

Yeah, those Yenkos have always been yanking a lot of cash out of those with too willing hands & big wallets.
More power to them though.

I found another shop to do my supercharger install and we're going to begin next week. Aiming for 700 horses.. the Yenko's are at about 1000 horses. My SS is at about 550.

My first car was a used 1960 MGA 1600 Roadster with a 1588cc four banger that produced a whopping 79.5 horse power. Supposedly it could do 0-60 in 14 seconds.
Paid $900 for it in 1964 and sold it in 1967 for $600 when I got married.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MG_MGA...d_1600_De-Luxe

My current ride is a new Honda Civic Hatchback Ex-L with a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder that produces 180 horsepower.
It seems like a hot rod to me (0-60 in 7.2 seconds).

@ScoPro speaking of LS-Swaps, I spent some time at the shop doing my supercharger install and watched him pull out a cam on an LS3. This was on a Chevy SS

I used to always want to be able to do this stuff myself. I was a general non-ASE certified mechanic for a few years when I lived Atlanta but never got this deep.
