go with an open mind not your conservative American one. I asked you something. How is India any better?
If you say Oh, India is more open towards Americans, India is against anyone not a Hindu if you ever heard of Hindutva and what that group does to muslims, actually they just assaulted a muslim man recently, and shaved his beard off.
You seem to have a problem repeatedly confusing me with someone else who has either traveled to or made any comparisons between Pakistan and India. I have offered zero opinion about India so I feel no need to defend or explain a comparison I never made. It would be a lot more productive to address what I've actually said instead of making up things I didn't say and then taking issue with your made-up statements/claims.
Also, if I ever travel to Pakistan -- a proposition made ever less likely the more I encounter and interact with people like you serving as its tourism ambassadors -- I will do so on my terms, not yours, and I will go with whatever frame of mind suits me, not you.
OP and Supporters (OPS): visit Pakistan. It's a great place to go to.
Other Members (OM): But there are various problems in Pakistan that make us hesitant.
OPS: India sucks. Pakistan is great.
OM: What about the highlighted issues?
OPS: Ignorant Americans fooled by India. India sucks. We are better than Afghanistan and Somalia.
OM: What? Anyway, what is there in Pakistan to see and do?
OPS: India sucks. ISIS is based in the middle East. Americans are ignorant.
OM: Why drag Americans in this discussion?
OPS: Ignorant Americans keep visiting India. Pakistan is better than India. India sucks!!!
Your attempt at making a humorous joke out of this thread and the responses of the OP and me isn't working, as you forgot many important points, and I refuted all the "various problems" and mentioned what there is to do, a video of someone comparing both, and my opinion on both.
More or less same problems that exist in Pakistan exist worse in India or similar.
"India is next door" Oh please, do you know what they are doing to gays in India right now??? how about to anyone not hindu? Do they like living there? ask or talk to a minority in India. I have talked to christians and sikhs in Pakistan who have no issues in Pak. Can't say the same about India. Do some research I beg you.
Pakistan is not anti west, and Isis isnt active in Pakistan. Terrorist activity does occur occasionally in places and the province you would never end up in, because it technically isnt part of Pak. Normal tourists cant enter it.
Almost like (not really though ) if I go to Camden NJ. It is nothing like the rest of the US and you probably wont end up there as a tourist.
all your claims are incorrect and based of views of most likely Indians or FOX news. the only claim that is correct is that Pak is a Muslim majority country. India does NOT have more tourist attractions, does not have WAY more muslims, maybe 1 million more but then look at the population of India.
As I conclude for the last time. Pakistan is extremely underrated, and this thread proves it more and more as random people keep saying "I'll pass" or "I wont be visiting"
Listen, I cant speak for anyone else, but for me, I personally do not have any issues with either Pakistan or its people. Like I said before, every Pakistani I've met over the years has been nothing but friendly, more so than the Indians I've come across. That being said, I notice you didnt answer the question I posed earlier; name a majority muslim country that has a vibrant tourist scene? I'll give you Dubai in the UAE, and perhaps Bali island in Indonesia. Other than that, the vast majority of muslim countries would have a hard time accepting western tourists who let's face it, for the most part are not visiting because they want to be on their best behavior. They come to let loose, party, and so a lot of things that probably wouldnt gain the approval of any self respecting imam. Pakistan is a conservative muslim country. Nothing wrong with that, but expecting huge tourism numbers from the West, even if we discount all the terrorism stuff is going to be unrealistic.

If you want to let loose, party, and those things, then don't come to a conservative Muslim country. I wouldn't go to small town Alabama to start an atheist organization, or open a nightclub!
The point of this thread as far as I know was to state how the country of Pakistan is thought of as a terrorist hub and war zone similar to Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, while in reality, it is no different and in some ways (such as friendliness and hospitality) actually better than India. The terrorism issue is a non-issue in places such as Islamabad.
And for countries, ever heard of Istanbul, Turkey? how about Marrakesh or Rabat, Morocco? the Maldives?
What is with your fascination with India in a thread about Pakistan?
Its not fascination, its to those on this thread who said they will visit India in a heartbeat but those same people are talking about terrorism and what not regarding Pakistan.

Americans are not big fans of visiting India.
You should be comparing Pakistan with the European countries, the Carribbean islands and the South East Asian countries- the places Americans actually visit.
This thread is becoming comical. Being the ugly, ignorant, poorly educated Merican that I am, I also have zero inclination to go to India. I just don't like that kind of crowds. That whole part of the world just sounds like boredom-istan on steroids.
