Oxnard State Beach and Park


Oxnard State Beach and Park is located in Oxnard, California spans over a twenty mile coastline along the city of Oxnard. Oxnard Beach is a nice spot to have a leisurely walk and sit and enjoy a peaceful picnic. Starting at Oxnard State Beach, there are sidewalks and walking paths that travel beneath the palm trees. Pathways lead through the dunes and to the beach. In the spring there are wildflowers blooming along the paths. Residents arrive at the beach and park to walk their pets and enjoy sunshine. Visitors can walk south on the bike path to the dunes to find many restaurants and hotels. During winter months the weather can be cold and windy. Oxnard Beach Park includes two spacious outdoor cooking areas with a capacity of 200 occupants. Public sinks, grills, and running water are found there.

Traveling to the beach and park is efficient from U.S. 101 in Oxnard. Visitors can take the Victoria Avenue South exit and proceed about five miles south to Channel Island Boulevard and follow it to the Harbor Boulevard intersection. Turn right, proceed one block on Harbor Boulevard, and then make a left on Mandalay Beach Road. Parking is available at the curb or in the free public lot.
