Channel Islands Harbor

Channel Islands Harbor offers the entire family water activities while being a working harbor. Los Angeles is an hour from the Harbor which has a number of parks and areas for surfing or picnics in addition to walking and biking paths. There are a number of restaurants and shops for visitors to choose from at the facility. There are even accommodations for overnight stays close to the harbor.

There are also yacht clubs, boat charters and dive centers at Channel Islands Harbor. There is a number of fishing excursion for those that are enthusiastic about fishing. December to April there are wale watching expeditions each day. There are a total of nine Marinas that are full service providing twenty-four hour a day patrols of the Harbor.

Channel Islands National Park offers a number of opportunities for visitors to enjoy five offshore islands. Over two thousand animals and plants from blue whales to plankton can be found in the park. The area was built as a recreational harbor during the 1960's and 1970's. There are three hundred and ten acres of water and land that make up the Harbor. The marina facilities, sport fishing, shop, restaurants and chandleries make the area an ideal place to visit.
