Gull Wings Children's Museum

Gull Wings Children's Museum is located on West 4th Street in Oxnard, California and is approximately 65 miles from Los Angeles. The museum is open from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 5pm on Saturdays and 12 noon to 4pm on Sundays. Housed in a 6,000 square foot building, this has been the only children's museum in Ventura County since it was founded in 1986.

This is an educational attraction for children with some interactive exhibits, teaching them subjects ranging from mathematics to natural history in a fun way. Exhibits here enable the kids to dress up as a firefighter, try some scientific experiments or make fossil rubbings. Children interested in wildlife will be able to come face to face with animals in the touch tank and aquariums or help feed some iguanas, turtles, lizards, corn snake, scorpion and tarantula.

Certain days of the week feature fun programs including story time every Tuesday at 11.30am, music every Thursday at 1pm and a family fun day on some Saturdays. Educational field trips are arranged on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with 30 minutes provided on various topics. Birthday parties can be held here too with free admission to the museum for all guests and a free goodie bag for each child.
